Sustainable Development Goals (SDG's)

The 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the UN form a universally adopted framework for sustainable development. It aims to end all forms of poverty, fight inequalities and tackle climate change, while ensuring that no one is left behind. The framework calls for worldwide action, within the boundaries of the planet. The SDG’s cover a wide spectrum of topics including poverty, health, education, climate change and environmental degradation.

Sustainable Development Goal nr 3: Good Health & Wellbeing

SDG nr 3 is about ensuring healthy lives and promoting the well-being for all people at all ages. In recent years significant strides have been made in increasing life expectancy and reducing some of the common killers. However, many more efforts are needed to fully eradicate a wide range of diseases and address emerging health issues. Through Dr. Goodfood we want to highlight proactive healthcare. Our focus should not only be on about treating sickness and diseases when they present themselves, but also to work much more towards resilience, staying healthy and vibrant.

Sustainable Development Goal nr 12: Responsible production and consumption

SDG nr 12 is all about finding the right balance between sustainable production and managing resources. Sustainable growth and development requires that we reduce our ecological footprint by changing the way we produce and consume. For example, agriculture is the biggest user of water worldwide, and irrigation now claims close to 70 percent of all freshwater for human use.

Dr. Goodfood is not just about proactive healthcare for mankind, it's also about keeping the planet healthy. Dr. Goodfood promotes sustainably farmed fruits and vegetables that are grown in harmony with nature. As human beings we are part of a precious and vulnerable ecosystem, so we should be looking for the healthy win-win strategies, for both people and planet.
